Shelving
Our shelving designs combine steam bent supports with naturally curved timber shelves, this makes them repeatable yet one-of-a-kind every time. The inspiration came from trying to make a use of timbers often discarded. Curved ‘spindly’ trees are often felled to favour space and light for higher valued trees to grow. It is using these thin curvy trees that leads the design for each piece and helps raise the value of woodlands. We tend to use Oak or Ash for the supports as these timbers steam bend well. The shelf timber can be decided with the client based on colours, tree size and the grain of the timber.
